Born in Vimercate (MI), Marco Perego works in Los Angeles and lives with his wife and their three children. The artist has a profound interest in exploring new forms of transformation and transcendence. His body of work addresses the turbulent times we live in and aims to spark conversations about the incessant changes in the world around us and within us. Perego’s work has been exhibited internationally at Michele Maccarone Gallery in New York and Los Angeles, Museum of Modern Art in Bologna, the National Archaeology Museum in Florence, Rennie Museum in Vancouver, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and Untilthen in Paris.

Perego’s works are included in the public collections of Museo Jumex in Mexico City, Rennie Museum in Vancouver, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Pinault Collection in Paris. He recently completed writing and directing his first feature film, The Absence of Eden, produced by Martin Scorsese. The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has acquired the screenplay, which will be part of its permanent collection.The artist participated at the 2024 Venice Biennale as part of the Vatican Pavilion, and his short film DOVECOTE was shortlisted for the Academy Awards. In 2025, an installation of his work will be presented at the Capsule of Centre Pompidou-Metz.
