Born in Vimercate (MI), Marco Perego works in Los Angeles and lives with his wife and their three children. The artist has a deep interest in exploring new forms of transformation and transcendence. His artistic practice addresses the turbulent times we are living in and aims to spark conversations about the constant changes taking place in the world around us and within us.

Perego’s works have been exhibited internationally at the Michele Maccarone Gallery in New York and Los Angeles, the Museum of Modern Art in Bologna, the National Archaeological Museum in Florence, the Rennie Museum in Vancouver, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and Untilthen in Paris.

His works are included in the public collections of the Museo Jumex in Mexico City, the Rennie Museum in Vancouver, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Pinault Collection in Paris. He recently completed writing and directing his first feature film, The Absence of Eden, produced by Martin Scorsese. The screenplay has been acquired by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures as part of its permanent collection.

In 2024, the artist participated in the Venice Biennale as part of the Vatican Pavilion, and his short film DOVECOTE was shortlisted for the Academy Awards. The same film was also presented at the Palais Populaire. In 2025, his installation THE BEING was presented at the Capsule of the Centre Pompidou-Metz. That same year, the artist was honored by The Drawing Center in New York and was invited by Philippe Parreno to collaborate on the Manchester Factory International, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist.
